Here’s a fancy breakfast sandwich to get your weekend off to a delicious start!
- Servings: 4
Ingredients
- (4 slices) Artisan sourdough bread
- (1 1/2 C) Grated Gruyère cheese
- (2 TBSP) White wine
- (1/4 C) Sour cream
- (1 tsp.) Dijon Mustard
- (1/4 tsp) Granulated garlic
- (1/2 tsp.) Salt
- (1/4 tsp.) Black pepper
- (4 slices) Sliced Deli Ham
- (4-8) Pasture Eggs
- Butter (for frying the eggs)
- Salt and pepper (for seasoning)
Directions
- Lightly toast the bread.
- Stir the cheese and wine together in a small bowl and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix the sour cream,mustard, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Spread each piece of toast with about 1 TBSP of the sour cream mixture, top with a slice of ham, then spread the rest of the sour cream mixture evenly over the ham slices.
- Dump the cheese and wine mixture out onto paper towels, and blot up the excess wine from the cheese.
- Sprinkle the cheese over the toasts and put under the broiler to melt.
- Meanwhile fry up 1 to 2 eggs per toast. Top each toast with the eggs and season with salt and pepper to taste.
