We raise slow-grown Freedom Ranger chickens on pasture (about 12–14 weeks), inspired by the French Label Rouge tradition for excellent eating quality and a great balance of light and dark meat. The slower growth develops a richer, more “old-fashioned” chicken flavor than typical fast-grown birds. Chickens free-range by day, return to secure mobile coops at night, and are regularly rotated onto fresh ground. Fed locally sourced, non-GMO rations with no corn or soy—chicken that cooks beautifully from sheet-pan dinners to slow-simmered broth.
